My name is Aymer Baranda.    I live in both Austin, Texas and Iloilo City.  I was born in the Mindanao but moved to the US when I was 10 years old.  Back in 2014, I met and married an Ilongo in Texas.  Since then, I've been visiting Iloilo City on a regular basis.  I'm both a tourist and local to Iloilo.  This gives a dual perspective in the area. 

I'm not a writer but more of a reader.  I'm avid consumer of different mediums of writing including books, travel and food blogs, news, forums, etc.  This has enabled me create my own writing style that I personally enjoy to read.  I write this blog for the benefit of other tourist like myself, and also, for the local Ilonggos.
